My Profile
I am a native Puerto Rican who loves nature, to go away on vacations, loves to dance, loves to laugh, loves to learn and who does have a very sociable personality. My Pre-K through 12th grade education was completed in the island. By 15, I had already graduated from High School and aspired to join the Air Force. However, my parents did not approve. Years later, I relocated to New York City. In New York, I achieved a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and minored in Sociology and Community Mediation and Dispute Resolution at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. During a period of unemployment, I completed a Computer Specialist training and enjoyed it so much that I decided to Master the training via certification. I then proceeded to complete the requirements to become a Master Instructor Computer Specialist. As a way to give back to the community, I began to work at Boricua College as a Computer Lab Instructor where I have worked for the last four years. I teach software applications. Blogging and Wiki's are new to me. In 2009, I was advised by the Chairperson that I needed to achieve a Masters degree in order to be accommodated in a tenured faculty or management position at their new campus. That is how in 2010, I decided to enroll at Walden U's Master of Science: Instructional Design and Technology Program.
