Connectivism

This reading is about a theory known as Connectivism. George Siemens considers that technology and student meaningingfulness as learning activities are the starting points to begin to move learning into the digital age” (2005). Siemens contends that learners must create networks which are connections between entities to facilitate and support the learning process. If students learn how to use the following networks: people, technology, social structures, systems and power grids - learners will establish learning communities in order to share their ideas with others. http://projects.coe.uga.edu/epltt/index.php?title=Connectivism
